Stahlcar Driver Control Range
Nine Driving Modes with a Dedicated Dashboard Controller
The EliteDrive Throttle Master is a vehicle-specific plug-in controller for modern drive-by-wire accelerator systems. It changes the pedal-response curve so the vehicle can feel sharper and more immediate, or smoother and easier to control, without remapping the engine ECU.
It provides nine driving modes, 60 levels of adjustment, one-touch overtake boost and a PIN-protected throttle lock through a dedicated physical controller mounted within easy reach of the driver.

Plug-InNo ECU Remap
Modern vehicles no longer use a direct mechanical cable between the accelerator and throttle. The pedal sends an electronic signal to the engine-control system instead. The Throttle Master connects into this circuit and changes how quickly the vehicle reacts to pedal movement.
Sharper settings reduce the delayed or lazy feeling often found in utes, turbo-diesels and other modern vehicles. Softer settings reduce sensitivity and can improve control in traffic, on loose surfaces or while manoeuvring a trailer.
Best Suited For
The Throttle Master suits drivers who want easy access to the main settings from a permanent controller rather than using a smartphone. It is a strong option for everyday road vehicles, utes, tow vehicles and 4WDs where throttle feel needs to change between different driving conditions.
Driving Modes
-
Normal: Returns the pedal response to the original factory setting.
-
Economy: Reduces throttle sensitivity for smoother power delivery, wet roads, fuel-conscious driving or inexperienced drivers.
-
Sport: Sharpens response while remaining suitable for everyday use.
-
Sport+: Provides a stronger response for highway driving, hills and more enthusiastic use.
-
Race: Delivers the fastest response curve for maximum immediacy.
-
Tow: Provides a controlled response under load and can reduce the amount of pedal movement needed to access the engineβs available torque.
-
4WD and Offroad: Softens pedal response for rough, slippery or uneven ground where accurate low-speed control matters.
-
iAutomatic: Changes response automatically according to how the vehicle is being driven.
-
Transmission-Specific Settings: Automatic and manual response options help avoid an overly aggressive initial pedal feel on different drivetrain types.
Physical Controller and Fine Adjustment
The compact controller mounts inside the cabin and gives direct access to the selected mode and sensitivity level. There is no need to unlock a phone, connect Bluetooth or open an app before making a change.
With 60 adjustment levels available across the modes, the controller can be tuned to suit the vehicle rather than forcing every car or driver to use one fixed response. A mild Sport setting may suit daily use, while stronger settings can be reserved for open-road driving.
Additional Functions
-
One-Touch Overtake Boost: Selects maximum response quickly when immediate acceleration is wanted.
-
Throttle Lock: A PIN-controlled mode disables accelerator response as an additional theft deterrent.
-
Factory Mode: Original pedal response can be restored without removing the controller.
-
Removable Installation: The vehicle can be returned to standard by removing the controller and reconnecting the original pedal plug.
How It Helps in Normal Use
In stop-start traffic or at roundabouts, a sharper setting can make the vehicle respond sooner when the driver presses the pedal. On the motorway, less pedal travel may be needed to maintain speed or accelerate up a hill.
For towing, the controller does not add torque, but it can make the available torque easier to reach and allow the driver to select a smoother response for reversing or low-speed manoeuvring. Off road, reduced sensitivity can help prevent unwanted surging or wheelspin caused by small movements of the driverβs foot over rough ground.
What It Does Not Do
The Throttle Master does not increase horsepower or torque. It does not change boost, fuelling, ignition timing or engine mapping.
It changes accelerator response only. It is not a diagnostic scan tool and cannot read codes, clear warning lights or perform service resets.
Installation and Setup
The Throttle Master plugs into the vehicleβs accelerator-pedal connector using a vehicle-specific harness. No cutting, soldering or ECU programming is required. The control display is then mounted in a suitable position using the supplied adhesive.
Before unplugging the accelerator pedal: Turn the vehicle off, remove the key or move the smart key away, and allow the vehicle electronics to shut down for at least 10 minutes. Disconnecting the pedal while the ECU is still awake can cause a warning light or limp mode.
Begin with a low or moderate setting and increase response gradually. Adjustments should be made while parked to avoid driver distraction.
Some vehicles provide easy access to the pedal connector, while others require removal of a small trim panel.
Vehicle Compatibility
The Throttle Master is not universal. The supplied wiring harness must match the exact accelerator-pedal connector fitted to the vehicle.
A broad range of petrol, diesel, turbo, hybrid, automatic, manual, CVT, DCT and DSG vehicles is supported, but not every model is covered. Confirm the make, model, year and engine before ordering.
