The DE V4.0 is built around German vehicle electronics and can access supported modules throughout the car, not just generic engine data. It can perform complete scans, show live values, operate components through active testing and carry out many maintenance, adaptation and component-replacement procedures.
The touchscreen hardware makes it quicker to navigate than older button-operated tools, while the combination of CAN-FD and DoIP gives it access to selected newer platforms. Selected coding support is available for BMW/MINI and Volkswagen Group vehicles.

System Diagnostics and Active Tests
Depending on the vehicle, accessible systems may include engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, electronic parking brake, steering, suspension, body control, climate control, battery management, lighting, diesel emissions and other manufacturer-specific modules.
Active tests can command supported components such as fuel pumps, cooling fans, windows, locks, mirrors, throttle systems, injectors, relays and other outputs to help isolate faults.
Selected ECU Coding
The DE V4.0 supports selected coding and adaptation functions for compatible BMW/MINI and Volkswagen Group vehicles. This can help after some control-unit or component replacements and with supported configuration tasks.
Important: It is not a universal ECU flashing or online dealer-programming tool. Coding depth varies by vehicle and module.
Service and Maintenance Functions
The 48 categories include oil reset, electronic parking brake service, steering-angle reset, throttle relearn, DPF regeneration, injector coding, ABS bleeding, battery management, TPMS functions and many further adaptation and calibration routines.
Higher-level functions may include air suspension, transmission adaptation, headlamp calibration, air-conditioning service, AdBlue and EGR routines, NOx reset, high-voltage battery functions, camera and radar procedures, window and seat learning and other vehicle-specific tasks.
Hardware and Updates
The tool uses a 5-inch Android touchscreen, quad-core processor, 64GB storage and a 5000mAh battery providing around six hours of use.
Updates install directly over WiFi. Lifetime free software updates are included with no annual subscription.
