Stahlcar App-Based Diagnostic Range
Full-System Diagnostics, Active Tests and Lifetime Resets from Your Phone
The Mucar BT200 Max is a compact Bluetooth full-system scan tool for compatible Android and iOS devices. It provides manufacturer-specific fault codes, live data, bi-directional component testing, CAN-FD communication and more than 15 common service functions.
Unlike the standard BT200, the Max includes its full-system diagnostic package, active tests and listed reset functions with lifetime free updates rather than charging for each maintenance function every year.

No Annual FeeLifetime Updates
The BT200 Max sits between an inexpensive code reader and a more advanced coding-focused platform such as ThinkDiag 2. It is designed for users who want broad diagnostics, actuator tests and routine service functions without an annual vehicle-software subscription.
The tool connects to the vehicleβs OBD2 port and communicates wirelessly with the app. The phone supplies the screen, internet connection and report sharing, keeping the scanner small enough for a glovebox or mobile tool kit.
Best Suited For
The BT200 Max suits experienced home users, mobile technicians and light workshops that need more than code reading but do not require a dedicated tablet or extensive ECU coding. It is especially attractive when ongoing update fees are a concern.
Full-System Diagnostics
Depending on the vehicle, accessible modules may include:
- Engine and emissions control
- Automatic transmission
- ABS and stability control
- SRS airbags and restraint systems
- Electronic parking brake
- Body control and central electronics
- Battery management
- Steering and steering-angle systems
- Tyre-pressure monitoring
- Climate control
- Lighting, doors, windows, seats and other fitted modules
Fault Codes, Live Data and Reports
The app can run a full vehicle scan, read manufacturer-specific trouble codes, clear codes after repairs, show module information and display freeze-frame data captured when a fault was set.
Live data can be viewed in text or graph form. Practical checks may include comparing wheel speeds, checking fuel trims, monitoring coolant or transmission information where supported, watching battery voltage during starting or confirming the status of switches and sensors.
Data recording and playback can help with intermittent faults that occur only on the road. Vehicle health reports can be saved and shared for pre-purchase checks, repair records or customer communication.
Bi-Directional Active Tests
Active testing lets the scanner command a supported component through its control module. This provides a more direct check than simply reading a fault code or watching data.
Depending on the vehicle, available tests may include operating the radiator fan, fuel pump, injectors, A/C clutch, horn, lights, electronic throttle, EVAP valve, windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof and other actuators.
For example, commanding an A/C clutch can help establish whether the clutch and its electrical circuit respond. If it works during the active test but not through the climate controls, the diagnosis can move toward pressure inputs, switches, permissions or control logic.
Active Test Coverage
Available tests vary by vehicle and module. The BT200 Max cannot command every component on every supported vehicle.
15+ Service and Maintenance Functions
The included service package may provide:
-
Oil Reset: Resets the service reminder after an oil change.
-
Electronic Parking Brake: Retracts or resets supported rear brake actuators for pad replacement.
-
Steering-Angle Calibration: Relearns the straight-ahead steering position after alignment or repairs.
-
Battery Registration: Registers a replacement battery on vehicles that require battery matching.
-
TPMS Reset: Performs supported tyre-pressure system resets or relearns.
-
ABS Bleeding: Runs the ABS pump and valves during supported brake-bleeding procedures.
-
DPF Regeneration: Requests a supported diesel particulate filter regeneration when vehicle conditions allow.
-
Injector Coding: Enters replacement injector calibration codes where required.
-
Throttle Relearn: Relearns the electronic throttle after cleaning or replacement.
-
Transmission Relearn: Resets or relearns selected gearbox adaptations.
-
Other Resets: Additional functions may include EGR adaptation, air-level calibration, sunroof reset and related vehicle-specific procedures.
Function names shown in the app are broad categories. The exact procedure must be supported by the vehicle before it will run.
Software and Update Costs
Full-system diagnostics: Included with lifetime updates.
Bi-directional active tests: Included on supported vehicles.
15+ listed maintenance resets: Included with lifetime updates.
There is no annual vehicle-software subscription for the included BT200 Max functions. Mucar may add separate optional services in the future, but the supplied diagnostic and reset package is not dependent on yearly renewal.
CAN-FD and Newer Vehicle Communication
CAN-FD is used by selected later vehicles and carries more data than conventional CAN communication. The BT200 Max includes CAN-FD hardware, improving its suitability for newer supported models.
Protocol support does not guarantee every system or function on every new vehicle. The manufacturer software must also include the exact model and module.
AI Fault-Code Assistance
The associated app can provide AI-assisted fault-code explanations and suggested diagnostic directions. This may help translate technical code descriptions and identify common checks related to a fault.
AI Does Not Confirm the Failed Part
AI guidance is an information aid, not proof that a particular component needs replacement. Codes, live data, wiring checks and mechanical testing still need to be interpreted together.
Third-Party OBD2 App Compatibility
The BT200 Max can also communicate with selected third-party applications that support a compatible ELM327-style interface. This may be useful for specialised gauge or logging apps.
Third-party app functions, costs and compatibility are separate from the Mucar diagnostic package and are controlled by their developers.
Coding and Programming Limits
The BT200 Max is focused on diagnosis, active tests and maintenance. It is not the best choice when extensive ECU coding, online programming, key programming or module flashing is required. ThinkDiag 2 or a higher-level tablet is the more suitable direction for those jobs.
Phone, App and Internet Requirements
A compatible Android or iOS phone or tablet is required. The Mucar or DollarFix app must be installed, and an account is required for activation and manufacturer software downloads.
Internet access is required for initial setup, software installation, updates and AI or online functions. The phone supplies the display and battery for the user interface.
Customers who do not want to rely on a phone, app store or mobile operating-system compatibility should choose a standalone handheld or tablet scanner.
Vehicle Compatibility
Mucar lists broad coverage across American, European and Asian vehicle manufacturers, generally through the standard OBD2 connector on supported 12-volt vehicles.
Exact module, active-test and reset coverage varies. Check the specific vehicle before ordering when one particular procedure is essential. It is not intended for 24-volt heavy trucks.

BT200 Max, Standard BT200 or ThinkDiag 2?
Choose the BT200 Max for full-system diagnostics, active tests, CAN-FD and common resets without an annual update fee.
Choose the standard BT200 when lower purchase price matters and you mainly need codes and live data.
Choose ThinkDiag 2 when selected coding and deeper manufacturer functions are more important than avoiding a subscription.
