Stahlcar Konnwei App Diagnostic Range
Multi-Brand Full-System Diagnostics with Common Reset Functions
The Konnwei KDIAG turns a compatible Android or iOS phone or tablet into a full-system diagnostic scanner for more than 40 listed vehicle brands. It can scan supported control modules, read and clear manufacturer-specific fault codes, display live data and create vehicle health reports.
It also provides AutoVIN and a small package of common maintenance functions, making it a step above lower-cost code-and-data adapters such as MaxOBD.

LifetimeFree App Updates
KDIAG is not a generic engine-only Bluetooth adapter. On a supported vehicle it uses manufacturer software to communicate with control modules such as ABS, airbags, transmission, steering and body electronics.
The connected phone supplies the screen, report sharing and internet connection. This makes the hardware compact and portable but means the KDIAG app and a compatible mobile device are required.
Best Suited For
KDIAG suits multi-car households and DIY users who want broad full-system fault-code access and a few common reset procedures without purchasing a higher-priced active-test tool. It is most useful when the customer’s vehicles are included in the listed manufacturer coverage.
Full-System Diagnostics
Depending on the vehicle, accessible systems may include:
- Engine and emissions control
- Automatic transmission
- ABS and electronic stability control
- SRS airbags and restraint systems
- Steering-angle and steering systems
- Tyre-pressure monitoring
- Electronic parking brake
- Body control and central electronics
- Battery and charging management
- Climate control
- Lighting, doors, windows and other fitted modules
Fault Codes, Live Data and Reports
The app can scan supported modules, read and clear manufacturer-specific trouble codes, show ECU information and display live data in text or graph form.
Practical checks may include comparing wheel speeds during an ABS fault, monitoring coolant temperature, viewing fuel trims, checking battery voltage during starting or confirming whether a switch or sensor is changing correctly.
A vehicle health report can be generated and shared from the phone. Data recording can also help when a fault occurs only during a road test.
A Fault Code Is a Starting Point
A code identifies the condition or circuit detected by the control module. It does not automatically confirm that the named sensor or component has failed. Wiring, power supply and mechanical checks may still be required.
Common Service Functions
Available service functions depend on the exact vehicle and the current KDIAG software. Common listed procedures include:
-
Oil Service Reset: Resets the maintenance reminder after servicing.
-
Electronic Parking Brake Reset: Carries out supported rear-brake service procedures.
-
Battery Matching: Registers or matches a replacement battery where supported.
-
DPF Reset or Regeneration: Performs supported diesel particulate filter procedures when vehicle conditions allow.
-
Additional Procedures: Selected vehicles or app versions may show further throttle, injector or related service functions.
Only the procedures supported by the selected vehicle will be available. A function appearing in the general app menu does not guarantee coverage on every model.
AutoVIN and Manual Selection
On supported vehicles, AutoVIN can read the identification number and help select the correct software automatically. If the vehicle cannot be identified, the make, model and year can be selected manually.
AutoVIN is most useful on later vehicles. Older models may require manual selection even when full-system coverage is available.
Generic OBD2 Engine Coverage
KDIAG can also perform standard engine and emissions diagnosis on compatible 12-volt OBD2 passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles outside its full-system manufacturer list.
Generic functions may include reading and clearing engine codes, live data, freeze frame, emissions readiness and vehicle information. This does not create full-system access for an unsupported make.
What KDIAG Does Not Include
KDIAG is designed for code reading, live data, reports and a small reset package.
It does not include general bi-directional active tests, universal coding, module flashing or extensive workshop service functions. Choose XTOOL A30M, Mucar BT200 Max or ThinkDiag 2 when those features are required.
Software Update Costs
Full-system diagnostics and included reset functions: Included.
Konnwei lists lifetime free app updates for KDIAG, with no annual vehicle-software update fee for the included functions.
Phone, App and Internet Requirements
A compatible Android or iOS phone or tablet is required. The free KDIAG app must be installed and the interface activated through the app.
Internet access is required for installation, activation, vehicle-software downloads and updates. The phone provides the display and user-interface battery.
Vehicle Compatibility
Konnwei lists full-system support for more than 40 manufacturer groups, including many common European, Asian, American and Australian-market vehicles.
Coverage is not identical across every make. Model-year, system and reset support vary, and KDIAG is not intended as a high-voltage EV or hybrid battery diagnostic platform.
Confirm the exact vehicle before ordering when a particular module or reset is essential.

KDIAG or MaxOBD?
Choose KDIAG for broader listed manufacturer coverage and a small package of common reset functions.
Choose MaxOBD when lower price matters and full-system codes and live data are sufficient. Choose a higher-level tool for active tests.
