Stahlcar App-Based Diagnostic Range
Affordable Full-System Code Reading and Live Data from Your Phone
The Mucar BT200 is a compact Bluetooth scanner that gives compatible Android and iOS devices access to supported vehicle systems beyond generic engine OBD2. It can scan control modules throughout the vehicle, read and clear manufacturer-specific fault codes, display live data and create vehicle health reports.
Full-system code reading, code clearing, live data and software updates remain available without an annual diagnostic subscription. Oil reset and steering-angle reset are included for the first year, with other maintenance functions available individually through the app.

The BT200 is not a generic ELM327 engine reader. It uses manufacturer diagnostic software to communicate with supported modules such as ABS, airbags and transmission control, while retaining the convenience of a small phone-based interface.
It is aimed at users who mainly need to identify faults and inspect live information. It does not include the bi-directional active tests or lifetime reset package supplied with the BT200 Max.
Best Suited For
The BT200 suits DIY users, multi-car households and occasional mobile diagnosis where broad fault-code access is more important than active testing. Its pay-for-only-what-you-need service model can make sense when resets are required only occasionally.
Full-System Diagnostics
Depending on the vehicle, accessible modules may include:
- Engine and emissions control
- Automatic transmission
- ABS and electronic stability control
- SRS airbags and restraint systems
- Body control and central electronics
- Electronic parking brake
- Battery management
- Steering and steering-angle systems
- Tyre-pressure monitoring
- Climate control
- Lighting, doors, windows and other fitted modules
What Full-System Access Means
On a supported vehicle, the BT200 can scan available modules, read their stored fault codes, clear codes after repairs, display ECU information and show live data. This is useful when the warning light is not the engine light.
Examples include reading an ABS wheel-speed sensor code, checking why an airbag light is on, viewing transmission temperature or solenoid data where the manufacturer provides it, or identifying faults stored in a body-control module.
Reading a code does not prove that the named component itself has failed. The code identifies the circuit or condition detected by the control module. Wiring, power supply, mechanical faults and related sensors still need to be checked.
Live Data and Reports
The app can display several live values together in text or graph form. Useful checks may include comparing wheel speeds, monitoring coolant temperature, checking fuel trims, viewing throttle position, watching battery voltage during starting or confirming switch status.
Data can be recorded and played back, which is useful when a problem occurs only while driving. A vehicle health report can also be saved or shared to record which systems contained faults before and after repair.
Generic OBD2 Engine Functions
- Read and clear standard engine and emissions fault codes
- View pending and permanent codes where supported
- Live engine data
- Freeze-frame information
- Emissions-readiness status
- Oxygen-sensor test results
- On-board monitor test results
- EVAP test request where supported
- Vehicle identification information
Service Functions
Oil reset and steering-angle reset are included for the first year. Further service functions can be purchased individually in the Mucar app.

Oil Reset: Resets the maintenance reminder after servicing.
-
Steering-Angle Reset: Recalibrates the straight-ahead steering position after alignment or steering work.
-
Electronic Parking Brake: Opens or resets supported rear brake actuators during pad replacement.
-
Battery Registration: Registers a replacement battery where required.
-
DPF Regeneration: Requests a supported diesel particulate filter regeneration.
-
ABS Bleeding: Operates the ABS pump and valves during supported bleeding procedures.
-
Throttle Relearn: Relearns the electronic throttle after cleaning or replacement.
-
Injector Coding: Enters replacement injector calibration codes.
-
TPMS and Other Procedures: Performs supported tyre-pressure and vehicle-specific service routines.
Service Function Costs
Full-system diagnostics: Code reading, code clearing, live data and software updates remain available without an annual subscription.
Included for the first year: Oil reset and steering-angle reset.
Additional maintenance functions: USD $19.95 per function for one year.
Only purchase a function after confirming that it supports the exact vehicle and required procedure.

What the BT200 Does Not Include
The standard BT200 does not provide the general bi-directional active-test package included with the BT200 Max. It is primarily for reading codes, clearing codes and viewing data.
It is also not a universal ECU coding, key programming or module-flashing tool.
Phone, App and Account Requirements
A compatible Android or iOS phone or tablet is required. The Mucar app must be installed and an account created to activate the device and download manufacturer software.
Internet access is required for setup, downloads and updates. The mobile device supplies the screen and user interface, so customers wanting a completely self-contained tool should choose a handheld scanner instead.
Vehicle Compatibility
Mucar lists broad coverage across European, Asian, American and other vehicle makes. Full-system support generally applies to vehicles with manufacturer electronic diagnostics, but the starting year and module depth vary significantly.
Check exact coverage before ordering when a particular module, reset or live value is essential. The BT200 is not intended for 24-volt heavy trucks.
What’s in the Box
