The CR Pro S can scan supported control modules throughout a vehicle, read and clear fault codes, display live data, identify compatible vehicles through AutoVIN and save diagnostic reports. Its touchscreen interface makes it easier to move between systems, service functions and live-data graphs than a traditional button-operated handheld.
The tool also supports active testing and selected coding functions. iCarsoft groups its vehicle-specific actuator routines into more than 4000 sub-tests, although the exact tests available depend entirely on the vehicle, year and fitted module.
Best Suited For
The CR Pro S is best suited to independent workshops, mobile mechanics, fleet users, multi-car households and serious home users who want strong all-makes capability without moving to a larger CR Max tablet.
It is a particularly good fit when touchscreen operation, active tests, selected ECU coding and direct WiFi updates matter, but wireless vehicle communication is not required.

Full-System Diagnostics
Depending on the vehicle, the CR Pro S may access engine, transmission, ABS, SRS airbags, body control, electronic parking brake, steering, suspension, air conditioning, battery management, lighting, doors, parking assistance and other fitted modules.
It can read and clear trouble codes, display ECU information, view live values and freeze-frame information, and run a complete vehicle scan.
Bi-Directional Control and Active Tests
Active testing allows the CR Pro S to command supported components directly. Depending on the vehicle, tests may include operating the ABS pump, fuel pump, injectors, windows, locks, lights, throttle, wipers, relays, valves and other outputs.
Availability differs by vehicle. The 4000+ figure refers to individual vehicle-specific sub-tests across the full supported database, not 4000 tests on every car.
Selected ECU Coding
The CR Pro S supports selected coding, configuration, component matching and parameter-adjustment functions across major vehicle groups.
Important: Coding capability varies by model and module. This is not a universal ECU programming, software-flashing or online dealer-coding tool.
Service and Maintenance Functions
The CR Pro S includes nine frequently used service functions and 40 advanced categories. Common functions include oil reset, electronic parking brake service, steering-angle reset, DPF regeneration, battery registration, injector coding, ABS bleeding, TPMS reset and throttle relearn.
Additional supported routines may include air-suspension calibration, air-conditioning service, adaptive headlamp setup, transmission adaptations, airbag procedures, seat and window learning, immobiliser functions, clutch matching, high-voltage battery service and radar or camera routines.
Hardware and Updates
The CR Pro S uses a 5-inch 854 × 480 touchscreen, quad-core 1.3GHz processor, 64GB storage and a 5000mAh battery rated for around six hours of continuous use.
Software and vehicle-coverage updates are installed directly through WiFi. Lifetime free updates are included with no annual subscription.
