The CR V3.0 is supplied as a configurable platform rather than with a fixed regional package. You can choose any 10 of the 27 available manufacturer groups and download them free over WiFi. Groups bundle related makes, such as BMW with MINI and Rolls-Royce, or Volkswagen Group with Audi, Skoda, SEAT, Bentley and other supported brands.
Once configured, the tool can scan supported control units throughout the vehicle, read and clear fault codes, display live data and freeze-frame information, identify compatible vehicles through AutoVIN, operate components directly and perform a broad range of resets, adaptations and calibrations.

The current manufacturer information states that selections can be changed through the free WiFi update system. Users who regularly work outside a defined set of brands should still consider an unrestricted all-makes CR Pro or CR Max model.

Full-System Diagnostics
Depending on the selected software and vehicle, accessible systems may include engine, transmission, ABS, SRS airbags, electronic parking brake, steering, body control, climate control, suspension, battery management, lighting, diesel emissions and other manufacturer-specific modules.
It can perform a complete vehicle scan, read and clear diagnostic trouble codes, display ECU information, retrieve freeze-frame data and show live sensor values in text or graph form.
Bi-Directional Active Tests
Active testing allows the CR V3.0 to command supported components directly. Depending on the vehicle, this may include the ABS pump, fuel pump, cooling fan, windows, locks, throttle actuator, injectors, relays and other electronically controlled outputs.
This helps determine whether a fault is caused by the component itself, its wiring or the control module.
48 Service and Maintenance Functions
The service package combines nine commonly used maintenance functions with 39 higher-level professional categories.
Common procedures include oil reset, electronic parking brake service, steering-angle calibration, throttle relearn, DPF regeneration, injector coding, ABS bleeding, battery management and TPMS functions. Advanced categories may include AdBlue, high-voltage battery, radar and camera calibration, clutch, turbocharger, crankshaft, NOx sensor and other vehicle-specific routines.

The current CR V3.0 uses a 5-inch Android touchscreen, quad-core 1.3GHz processor, 64GB storage and a 5000mAh battery for approximately six hours of use.
Software and coverage updates install directly over WiFi. Lifetime free updates are included with no annual subscription.

The available software covers European, Asian, American and Australian manufacturer groups. Diagnostic depth and service-function support vary by make, model, year and ECU.
