The JP V4.0 is designed specifically for Japanese and Korean vehicles rather than spreading its software across every global make. It can scan supported control modules throughout the vehicle, read and clear fault codes, display live data, identify compatible vehicles through AutoVIN, run active tests and carry out a wide range of service and adaptation procedures.
Compared with the JP V3.0, the V4.0 moves to Android touchscreen hardware, adds direct Wi-Fi updating and introduces selected ECU coding functions for supported Hyundai/Kia, Mazda and Subaru vehicles.

Full-System Diagnostics
Depending on the vehicle, the JP V4.0 can access engine, transmission, ABS, SRS airbags, electronic parking brake, steering, body control, battery management, air conditioning, diesel emissions, lighting and other available electronic modules.
It can perform a complete vehicle scan, read and clear system fault codes, show live sensor values, retrieve freeze-frame information and display control-unit identification data.
Bi-Directional Active Tests
Active testing allows the JP V4.0 to command supported components and outputs directly. Depending on the vehicle, this can include fuel pumps, cooling fans, windows, locks, relays, lights, throttle systems, injectors, transmission solenoids and other module-controlled devices.
Active-test availability varies by make, model, year and fitted ECU.
Selected ECU Coding
The JP V4.0 adds selected ECU coding and configuration functions for supported Hyundai/Kia, Mazda and Subaru vehicles. Depending on the model, this can include module matching after replacement, programmable parameters, warning-system settings and selected vehicle personalisation.
Important: Coding support is vehicle-specific and is not universal across every supported model. Check the official coverage before purchasing if a particular coding function is required.
Service and Maintenance Functions
The JP V4.0 combines nine commonly used service procedures with 40 higher-level routines for supported vehicles. These can include oil reset, electronic parking brake service, steering-angle calibration, throttle relearn, DPF regeneration, injector coding, ABS bleeding, battery registration, TPMS functions and a range of additional adaptations and calibrations.
Function availability depends on make, model, year, fitted system and ECU configuration.
Hardware and Updates
The tool runs Android on a quad-core 1.3GHz processor with 64GB internal storage, a 5-inch 854 × 490 capacitive touchscreen and a 5000mAh rechargeable battery rated for around six hours of continuous use.
Software updates are downloaded directly over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Lifetime free updates are included, with no annual subscription charge.
